Yup summer is here.... and this is one of the activities you can do this summer. We did this in 1 day, the Bantacay Falls and Kwebang Lampas. Here is my Panoramio. And above is the tracklog as a guide on how to go there. Enjoy the ride :)

We always have the tendency to compress things, like maximize time by doing more than 1 thing / activity in a day. Some say "what kind of relaxation is that?". Well, i guess relaxation is a "relative" term. :) We always have the tendency to go to not so popular places, where adrenaline is needed. Life is short, I hope we won't make it shorter. :) Today to Bantacay Falls, and it is raining hard here in Atimonan. It will be angel, eric, and me.... Fatboy and Mardi skipped this activity, well.... they surely missed beats... :)
We left our meeting place at 03:30 because angel was late..... hhmmm.... Finding the drop off point was not easy at this early morning, where people were still asleep. At the store in Atimonan, we asked for a guide. (all of these are geotagged in my panoramio, so finding these places won't be difficult anymore). The lady at the store warned us about flash floods and very muddy hike... hhhmmm.... just what we were looking for, and these things found us. It was indeed crazy hiking in the rain and mud. It was fun, and tiring... :) The falls was not so far, but we felt the walk was never ending, with uphill, downhill, and stream crossings. When we started the walk, those streams were shallow, so we went on. When we reached the foot of Bantacay Falls, it was sooo swollen due to the heavy rain that it could eat us alive. We decided not to continue and turn back. When we turned back, more adrenaline was needed, the rivers and streams were now swollen with strong current, that we had to be very careful to not go home in a body bag, or worse in a sack or carton.. :)
Somebody left the rope in the vehicle... hmmmm.... it was me... damn. So we decided to grab long branches / bamboo 5 meters or longer, so we could cross those streams and rivers holding on to these things to prevent us from being swept away by the strong current. A local boy who was a show off almost drowned that day for stream crossing. He was lucky he was able to grab a branch, if not, he could have been food for the fishes and crabs that day.. We were actually circling the trails looking for more shallow portions of the streams. When we reached our vehicle, we were sooo tired and hungry, we could eat a horse. Fortunately there was no horse. :)
We decided not to go home yet and get more tired and hungry.. that wasn't enough... So we decided to take a side trip to Kwebang Lampas without any lunch. Angel and I wanted to eat eric.. He is fat, and asleep in our ride, i think he will be enough.. :) When we reached Volcano Island, wow, there was a small carinderia beside the road. Man that carinderia was a blessing and saved eric as our lunch, we ate lunch at 15:00 hours :)
Angel said that is was better for us to take a boat to Kwebang Lampas than walking again. We agreed, so we took the boat ride seeing Pagbilao Power Plant up close and personal. We took pics of Kwebang Lampas. The place is nice white sand beach :) Then we decided to go home. It was a day filled with good things. We were happy. :)
